The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Resources
On November 15, 2021, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) was signed into law by President Biden. The legislation includes $1.2 trillion in new federal investment in America’s roads and bridges, rail and transit, electric vehicles, broadband, clean water and wastewater infrastructure, airports, ports and waterways, the electric grid, and more. NECA has developed this resource center to assist contractors and chapters in staying updated with the multitude of work opportunities that will come from this landmark legislation.
NECA & IBEW Joint Comments
The NECA-IBEW jointly developed regulatory comments and submitted them to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) on the use of qualified electricians and Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) when conducting Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) work. The comments requested the implementation of apprenticeship quality standards and responsible contracting policies to ensure the highest quality of workers and contractors. General Services Administration (GSA) Resources
