The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
Congressman Pete Stauber is currently serving his third term in Congress as the Representative from Minnesota’s Eighth Congressional District. Prior to his time in Congress, Stauber worked as a St. Louis County Commissioner, City Council in Hermantown, and Duluth police officer for over two decades.
Congressman Stauber currently serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Small Business Committee, and Natural Resources Committee. On the Natural Resources Committee, Congressman Stauber serves as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources, where he remains committed to maintaining American’s energy independence and ending reliance on foreign minerals. Congressman Stauber has been a leader on supply chain issues and easing the regulatory burden of federal government procurement on small businesses. He currently co-chairs the Construction Infrastructure Procurement Caucus with Rep. Scott Peters where they work to improve efficiency in the federal government procurement process with the goal of promoting commonsense design and construction services and procurement reforms to benefit the government, taxpayers, and businesses of all sizes.
Congressman Stauber lives in Hermantown with his wife Jodi, an Iraq War veteran and the first female Command Chief of the 148th Fighter Wing.
