NECA Introduces New Service and Maintenance Conference in 2023

Feb 27, 2023

DENVER, Colorado- Service and maintenance work presents an opportunity for NECA members to grow their businesses, strengthen their relationships with customers and develop an ongoing revenue source. To help our members in this area, we are excited to offer a brand-new conference dedicated to the topic of service and maintenance work. This conference will help members who do service and maintenance work, those who are considering establishing service and maintenance divisions and those just getting started. Attendees will learn how to identify best practices, establish processes and learn from others who are successfully doing this work.

The inaugural Service and Maintenance Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Denver from June 28-29, 2023. This two-day conference will help electrical contractors to build and navigate a successful service and maintenance-oriented department. Insight on how to operate a maintenance division from start to finish will be provided through expert presentations and NECA contractor-led panels and discussions. Registration for this conference will open in April.

“Service and maintenance has always been a critical need for our contractors' clients,” said NECA CEO David Long. “Supporting our members to meet these needs is essential.”

Service and maintenance work presents many opportunities for NECA members. On average, 39 percent of electrical contractors' revenue comes from maintenance/service or repair work. Ninety-six percent of electrical contractors perform low-voltage work which can eventually lead to an abundance of consumer repair needs. Putting our members in a position to expand into that market and capitalize on this demand will not only set contractors up to be more profitable but also invaluable to their clients.

If your company already does service work, NECA would like to learn more about your operations and what you’ve found to be successful. No matter your experience level, you can help shape the 2023 Service & Maintenance Conference. We are forming an Advisory Council of NECA members to help guide our offerings at this conference and beyond and we invite you to join.

Please fill out this form if you, or anyone you know, may be interested in collaborating on this topic.
