NECA has begun accepting submissions for the 2022 Project Excellence Awards, open to all NECA members. Entries are open through June 30, and the awards will be officially presented at the 2022 NECA Convention and Trade Show in Austin, Texas.
The Project Excellence Awards were created by NECA to showcase the exceptional work performed by our member-contractors throughout the country, recognizing them for their outstanding commitment, professionalism, and ingenuity in delivering an electrical project across 13 different market sectors.
The competition will consider 13 categories based on the type of project and its dollar value: commercial/institutional, design-build, educational, energy solutions/green building, healthcare, industrial, low-voltage/technology, overhead transmission, residential, street lighting/traffic signal, substation/interconnection, transportation/infrastructure, and electric vehicle (EV).
For each project category, except for commercial/institutional, low voltage/technology, overhead transmission, residential, and substation/interconnection, the award will be based on whether the electrical/technology portion of the project is valued under or over $1 million. The projects will be judged on the following criteria: aesthetics, application, difficulty, innovation, and originality.
