Awards Presented at NECA Student Chapter Summit

After the Electrical Contracting Innovation Challenge (ECIC) competition at NECA 2021 Nashville, students made their way to ELECTRI International’s NECA Student Chapter Competition 2021. NECA CEO David Long presented the following awards:
- NECA Student Chapter of the Year: Illinois Institute of Technology
- ECIC Most Innovative Electrical System: University of Toronto ($500)
- ECIC Best Project Estimate: Pennsylvania State University ($500)
- ECIC Best Social Media: Wayne State University ($500)
Below are the winners of ELECTRI International’s NECA Student Chapter Video Competition:
- First Place: Kennesaw State University ($1,000)
- Second Place: Pennsylvania State University ($750)
- Third Place: Illinois Institute of Technology ($500)
The winners of the ECIC Best Presenter Award: Zach Ellis (Wayne State University), Ty Turner (Iowa State University) and Gretchen Mathiason (Iowa State University) each received $500 in a three-way tie.
After the awards were presented, students competed in an activity to construct a building in Minecraft and learned about the journey of construction.
