2021 National Award Winners: Gregory A. Rick Honored With 2021 Abraham Lincoln Leadership Award
The National Electrical Contractors Association has selected Gregory A. Rick as the recipient of the 2021 Abraham Lincoln Leadership Award. This honor recognizes a NECA member for outstanding achievement in federal, state, or local advocacy engagement.
Rick was presented with the award on Oct. 10 as part of the NECA Convention and Trade Show in Nashville, Tennessee.
Rick has been with Rick Electric, Inc., since 1983. The company was founded in 1964 by his parents David and Beverly Rick, and ultimately purchased by Mr. Rick and his brother Dennis in 1998. The company has been a proud NECA member since 1965, and Rick currently serves as President. He has served two terms as Governor of the Dakotas Chapter, NECA, with a term as President as well. Other service includes the Local JATC Committee, Negotiation Committee and Labor Management Committee.
Rick has been active in advocacy for the electrical construction industry his entire career. He began supporting NECAPAC in 2003, and in 2018 became an active member of the Political Leadership Council (PLC). Mr. Rick is Chairman of NECA’s Government Affairs Committee, which is concerned with federal legislative actions and regulatory policies affecting the opportunity and ability of electrical contractors to operate efficiently, profitably and in the best interest of their customers.
