The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Enforcement for the Beryllium Standards in Construction and Maritime

On January 9, 2017, OSHA promulgated a final rule adopting standards for occupational exposure to beryllium and beryllium compounds in the construction and shipyard industries. The final rule set a permissible exposure limit (PEL) for beryllium of 0.2 micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m3) as an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA), and a short-term exposure limit (STEL) for beryllium of 2.0 µg/m3, over a 15-minute sampling period.
