NECA and ELECTRI International Seek to Assist NECA Contractors Affected by Hurricane Dorian

Sep 4, 2019

NECACares17Many of the National Electrical Contractors Association members and their employees have been working tirelessly to bring power back to flooded areas in the southeast as part of the ongoing disaster relief efforts that started after Hurricane Dorian began to make landfall earlier this week. But some of the companies doing that vital work have been hurt as well.

The ongoing devastation has led NECA and ELECTRI International to issue a call for donations to replenish a relief fund and reach out to contractors who have been affected. The NECA Disaster Relief Fund was established in 2005 after the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina. Since then, the fund has been used to help NECA members rebuild as they help rebuild their communities.

This a unique way for NECA contractors to support their fellow NECA contractors, many of whom need help. You can contribute to the NECA Disaster Relief Fund in two ways:

  • Post a check to ELECTRI International – 3 Bethesda Metro Center, Suite 1100, Bethesda, MD 20814, and include “NECA Disaster Relief Fund” in the notes section of the check;
  • Call 301-215-4543 to make a contribution via credit card.
