NECA/IBEW Powering America Represents Industry at Penn Relays

Jul 12, 2019

The NECA/IBEW Powering Team was a proud sponsor and supporter of the 125th Running of the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.

During the event, NECA Executive Director for Labor & Workforce Development Kevin Tighe and Penn-Del-Jersey Chapter staff operated a booth in Franklin Field's "Carnival Village" and interacted with thousands of students and spectators.

Because of the importance of educating, recruiting, and promoting electrical apprenticeship programs to students at an early age, visitors were taught about the electrical training ALLIANCE and the career opportunities available in the electrical trades.

The booth's success would not have been possible without the cooperation of the National Labor Management Cooperation Committee (NLMCC), NECA’s national office and the Penn-Del-Jersey Chapter. Click here for video highlights from the Penn Relays Village Carnival.
