Rosendin Electric Sponsors Construction Camp for Girls in Texas

Jun 14, 2019

Rosendin Electric, a California-based member of the National Electrical Contractors Association, was the title sponsor of a recent construction camp for girls.

More than a dozen middle school-aged girls spent a week this month in Austin acquiring important skills as a precursor to possible careers in the construction industry, according to KXAN.

The camp is the first of its kind put on in Texas by the National Association of Women in Construction. NAWIC and other organizations in the sector have been attempting to recruit more girls into the industry early on.

Rosendin Electric, headquartered in San Jose, is an employee-owned electrical contractor. With revenues surpassing $2 billion, it is one of the largest electrical contractors in the U.S., employing over 6,000 people.
