NECA Chapter Works on New Videoboard at Minor League Ballpark in Washington
A National Electrical Contractors Association chapter in the Pacific Northwest helped hit one project for a local baseball team out of the park.
The Everett AquaSox in Washington are installing a new videoboard at its home stadium, Funko Field. The Daktronics display is 20 feet high and 40 feet wide.
The effort was a partnership between the team, NECA’s Cascade Chapter and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 191.
“Projects like these are what brings families together, which is why we are excited to bring the next generation videoboard to the Everett AquaSox and their fans,” said Cindy Austin, executive manager of the Cascade Chapter.
The AquaSox are a Minor League Baseball team of Northwest League. They compete as the Class A Short Season affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.
The videoboard is capable of variable content zoning, allowing it to show one large image or multiple areas of content. Fans will be able to see live video, instant replays, graphics and animations. Go to https://ballparkdigest.com/2019/05/08/aquasox-unveil-new-funko-field-videoboard/ to learn more.
