The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Grounding System Design and Testing for Critical Facilities

Wednesday, May 24
8:30 - 9:30 a.m.

A ground system is critical for the protection, reliability and performance of sensitive electronic equipment. This session will describe what constitutes an NEC-compliant grounding system, and methods of testing, including clamp-on ground resistance meters and the 3-point fall of potential test, with details on factors that may invalidate a test. Also discussed will be grounding's relationship to surge suppression and lightning protection. We will also cover how to properly test and achieve valid results.
