Without written policies and programs, an employer cannot convey its mission statement, expectations, and guidance related to safety, to its employees and potential customers. By developing company policies based on NFPA 70E compliance, an employer can provide a general perspective on why it is important to ensure an electrically safe work condition has been established when working around electrical circuits and conductors.
