The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Learn More about ELECTRI Research Spotlight: EC Job Descriptions and Checklists Webinar - Tuesday, September 22, 2026 | 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET

As part of their Partnership for Career Advancement Program, ELECTRI International, is releasing several new resources for Electrical Contracting firms.  Join researcher Dr. Deniz Besiktepe from Purdue University and focus group members to learn more about how you can use these exciting checklists and templates in your business.

The resources include:

  • HR Onboarding Checklist- This checklist is designed to be adaptable across companies of varying sizes, organizational structures, and departments. It captures core onboarding and career development fundamentals; not all items will apply to every organization, and additional items may be required to meet specific operational or departmental needs. HR staff, office managers, or direct supervisors should review this checklist prior to the employee’s start date and designate each item as applicable, recommended, or not applicable based on company size, structure, and role requirements. Some items in this checklist apply differently depending on whether the new hire is office-based or field-based. Some field-based items are provided separately.
  • Project Checklist- This Project Checklist is a customizable project performance tool designed to support consistent, accountable execution from preconstruction through closeout. It helps project teams capture key project information, assign ownership, track recurring and milestone-based actions, and surface risks early so they can be addressed proactively. Adaptable to projects of varying size and complexity, it serves as a living dashboard and central hub for project accountability.
  • Job Descriptions for an Electrical Contracting Company- This resource provides adaptable job description templates for key functions within an electrical contracting company, including preconstruction, BIM/VDC, engineering, project management, safety, purchasing, prefabrication, procurement, and project controls. Designed as a flexible reference rather than a fixed structure, it helps contractors align roles, support team development, and build a high-performing organization.
