The 2026 edition of the National Electrical Code® (NFPA 70) introduces substantial revisions that influence electrical design, installation, and inspection practices across the industry. This course delivers a comprehensive overview of the most significant NEC® changes, highlighting what’s new, why the revisions were made, and how they affect field and design applications.
In addition, participants will receive an update on NFPA 70E®, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace®, focusing on the evolving requirements for risk assessment, arc flash labeling, and the alignment between NEC® installation rules and 70E® safe work practices.
Through engaging discussion and real-world examples, attendees will explore key modifications across NEC® Chapters 1–8, including revised requirements for wiring methods, emergency systems, grounding and bonding, renewable energy, energy storage, and electric vehicle infrastructure.
This class is for IBEW 145 and Quad Cities Chapter NECA invited guests only.
