We are living in unpredictable times.  Supply chains have been disrupted, inflationary pressures are high and the general risks of conducting business in the ordinary course are high. As business owners, one thing that you can do to hedge against this uncertainty is to diversify. For most NECA contractors, the commercial world is where they live and breathe. To assist our members in expanding their portfolios, NECA is teaming with Ed DeLisle of Thompson Hine LLP, who will be providing a series of educational content specific to the federal government and its wide array of opportunities.

We will begin our series with “The Basics” on November 9th.  During this initial webinar, Ed will provide a general overview of the federal procurement system and how NECA members can take advantage of what the federal government has to offer. He will discuss how members can qualify for work opportunities and some of the differences between work in the commercial world and the federal government contracting world. Ed will take members from project inception through completion, providing members with a complete picture of how the procurement process works. In the coming weeks, this webinar will be followed with others that will take a deep dive into specific government programs, such as the Infrastructure, Investment and Jobs Act, the Chips and Science Act and the Inflation Reduction Act.

Moderator/Host: Marco A. Giamberardino, Vice President, Government and Public Affairs
