Karyn M. Charvat is the Executive Director of PowerForward DuPage, which is the NECA-IBEW 701 LMCC, located in DuPage County, Illinois. This organization serves as a professional partner for DuPage County businesses, developers, general contractors, residents, and municipalities, to further the excellence and growth in the electrical industry and local economy. Working with both the Northeastern Illinois Chapter, NECA and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 701, PowerForward DuPage represents over 350 electrical contractors and 1,400 union electricians. Charvat has lead the development, marketing, and community outreach efforts of the LMCC since 2014 and is also the Membership Engagement Specialist for Northeastern Illinois Chapter, NECA.

Professionally, Charvat serves as Secretary of the DuPage Airport Authority Board of Commissioners and is the Private Sector Co-Chair for Choose DuPage, the county's economic development council. Personally, Charvat is an active volunteer with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and the Alzheimer’s Association.
