Wanessa Alves, Director, Partnerships

Wanessa Alves is an intentional and passionate leader. She has worked in the electrical construction industry for over 14 years. As the Director of Partnerships at the National Electrical Contractors Association, Alves works to create lasting and beneficial relationships and promotes programs to increase partner and member engagement.
As part of her previous role, Alves led Women in NECA (WIN) since its inception. She worked diligently on building tremendous growth in the association’s Future Leaders and Student Chapters Program. As the Association continues its commitment to execute industry initiatives in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, Alves is committed to leading as a catalyst for change by serving in the DEI &B Task Force. She is invested in people issues and understands the value of relationship building. Alves is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing the Industry Alliance Network (IAN). This program includes Premier Partners, Ambassador and Affiliate Sponsors, and NECA’s member discount program, Value-Added Services.
Wanessa holds a B.S. in Business Administration and a Certificate in Human Resources from the University of Maryland, a Certificate of Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University, and is a graduate of the VOLT Academy. She resides in Maryland with her husband and five-year-old son. Together they own a restaurant called El Mercat Bar de Tapas, located in Rockville.
