Hero Myth
Who do you rely on—and who relies on you?
This session will explore responsibility, accountability, and the workplace “hero” mentality. It will examine the employee who thrives under pressure, the consistent performer who is often overlooked, and the leader who unintentionally creates urgency and depends on others to recover it.
Attendees will learn how reactive, crisis-driven cultures develop and how they impact performance, exposure, and growth. Through real-life examples from construction, sports, and everyday leadership, participants will gain practical insight into shifting from blame and heroics to ownership and sustainable performance. Together we will highlight the difference between being qualified and being truly competent, identifying hazards, mitigating risk, and avoiding working into a bind.
