Grounding and Bonding Preconference Workshop

This focused workshop will provide an in-depth, practice-oriented review of personal protective grounding and bonding for de‑energized transmission and distribution lines, aligned with the guidance in IEEE 1048 and current industry best practices. Participants will examine how induced voltages, backfeed, and fault current influence step and touch potentials, and how properly designed and applied grounding schemes can effectively limit voltage differences in the work area to enhance worker protection.
