The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

NECA Names Jeff Beavers as Executive Director of Network Integration and Services

The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) announced it has named Jeff Beavers to its National Staff as Executive Director, Network Integration and Services, effective February 1.

With more than 30 years in the information and communications technology (ICT) industry, Beavers began his career in the U.S. Air Force as a cable splicer. He has served in various roles in the industry including lineman, installer/technician, and designer, as well as several management positions in construction and engineering. He recently served as President of BICSI, a global professional association supporting the advancement of the ICT community.

Beavers is a recognized subject matter expert and a technical contributor to BICSI standards and reference manuals. He has experience in many types of projects, including the Department of Defense, municipal and federal government, K–12 and higher education, healthcare, sports and entertainment, data centers, and utilities (broadband, water, energy, wind and solar). 

“Connectivity in a continuously advancing connected world demands a technically competent and agile workforce,” Beavers said. “I’m glad to be here and look forward to working with our team, members, and partners to lead the industry forward.”
