Northern Colorado Utility to Build 100-MW Battery System

Colorado utility Platte River Power Authority has signed an agreement with NextEra Energy Resources to develop a large-scale battery energy storage system, part of a renewable power strategy that includes phasing out its coal-fired power plants.

Navy Plans to Award Contracts to Build Guam Facilities

Military construction in Guam is progressing, with the Navy planning to award two major contracts later this year. NAVFAC Pacific's March 31 update projects a contract for a Guam Defense Radar System Command Center—plus supporting infrastructure—valued between $250 million and $500 million.
