Reports Highlight Compounding Impacts, Costs of Extreme Weather
There is growing consensus among government agencies such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the National Institute of Building Sciences, as well as industry groups, that communities and federal disaster recovery agencies must consider compounding disaster effects —weather-related or not—and quantify costs to return critical infrastructure and buildings to functionality after an event occurs.

The NECA Innovator of the Year is awarded to an industry pioneer from a NECA member contractor who champions innovation across their company and the entire NECA community. Winners are recognized at the annual MEP Innovation Conference hosted by NECA, MCAA and SMACNA. Deadline for consideration for the 2025 award is November 15, 2024.
