Government Affairs Recap for July 2024

Congress is officially out for August recess and the 2024 Democratic National Convention is right around the corner. We will monitor how these major changes in the race for the White House might trickle down to the House and Senate Races we are tracking. On July 22, the House passed H.R. 8812, the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2024, by a bipartisan vote of 359-13.

Nominate an Individual for the NECA Innovator of the Year Award

The NECA Innovator of the Year is awarded to an industry pioneer from a NECA member contractor who champions innovation and continuous improvement across their company and the entire NECA community. Winners are recognized at the annual MEP Innovation Conference hosted by NECA, MCAA, and SMACNA. Deadline for consideration is November 15, 2024.
