Senate Committee Clears FAA Bill with $20B for Construction Grants

After months of delay, the Senate commerce committee has approved a five-year Federal Aviation Administration bill that would boost FAA’s Airport Improvement Program infrastructure grants by 19%, to $4 billion a year.

Important Improvements to the National Electrical Benefit Fund

NECA is thrilled to announce significant improvements to the National Electrical Benefit Fund (NEBF) that will alleviate the financial concerns of the NECA contractor while providing an increased benefit to the IBEW electrical worker. Several NECA Members & Constituents Awarded Grant Funding for EV Charging

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) includes a historic $7.5 billion dedicated investment to build out a national network of EV chargers. At the end of January, a Joint Office between the U.S. DOE and U.S. DOT announced the first round of grant recipients for this goal of building a national network of EV chargers for all Americans. Five NECA chapters/members/JATC affiliates were awarded grant funding for this initiative.
