Backers of the $2.5-billion North Plains Connector say they aim to begin permit approval this year for a 385-mile, high-voltage direct-current transmission line that could be first in the U.S. to link three large regional power grids—Western Interconnection,
Midcontinent Independent System Operator and Southwest Power Pool—allowing shared energy from multiple sources and boosted system reliability.

NECA is seeking the best and brightest to speak during NECA 2023 Philadelphia. From business processes and leadership to technology solutions and best practices, we are seeking speakers on a wide range of topics to present to our diverse group of members. The deadline to submit a proposal is March 8, 2023.
Registration Closing Soon for NECA's Labor Relations Conference
This year's Labor Relations conference will include a wide range of presentations from industry experts, NECA and IBEW representatives and Keynote speaker Roy Spence. Topics will include employment law, the use of the Pattern Agreement Guide, the NMA, a CLRC presentation on the Settlements Reports and the Union Electrician Workforce characteristics and projections report, and labor relation challenges. The conference will take place in Nashville, TN on March 20-22, 2023!

NECA BICSI Summit and NECA Service & Maintenance Conference
On average across all firm sizes, 39% of electrical contractors' revenue come from maintenance/service or repair work. 96% of electrical contractors perform low-voltage work. These percentages continue to increase and present an opportunity to not only bring back the NECA-BICSI Summit (June 26-28) but also launch a brand new NECA Service & Maintenance Conference (June 28-29). Both conferences will take place in Denver, Colorado!
Advisory Committee for Construction Safety and Health Meeting
The Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health will convene on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, 9 am – 4 pm ET, in Washington, DC. Virtual attendance information will also be posted on the ACCSH webpage prior to the meeting. In conjunction with the ACCSH meeting, ACCSH Workgroups will meet on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Comments and requests to speak at ACCSH must be submitted at regulations.gov, the Federal eRulemaking Portal, identified with docket number OSHA-2023-0002, by Thursday, February 23, 2023.
