Chris Harris
Chewning & Wilmer, Inc.
After graduating from the Richmond JATC Apprenticeship program, Harris began his career working at Northside Electric Company where he quickly became a foreman. In 2001, he was asked to run Northside’s service department which later became Truland Electric. Chewning and Wilmer noticed Harris’ strong handle on managing the service side of the industry and asked him to join their team to oversee their service department. Harris has grown that operation from two trucks in 2014 to now having 11 trucks where he is also a large shareholder of the company. He was a member of the Richmond JATC Apprenticeship board for ten years, two of which he served as Chairman.
