Oct 01, 2018

Courses on Planning Crew Size and Structure, Utilizing Project Controls and The Contract and the Project Manager are now available!

Planning Crew Size and Structure

An essential part of the project manager's preplanning process is determining the size and structure of the crew. Planning for the right crew, with the right skills, at the right time can make the difference between a profitable or an unsuccessful project. This course will help the electrical project manager navigate the process of planning for crew size and structure, discuss the process of manloading the schedule and identify the benefits of preplanning for crew size.

Utilizing Project Controls

Effective administration of project controls creates a system that actively anticipates and prevents potential problems, saving everyone on the project team from having to react to one unforeseen incident after another. This course will discuss project controls that are commonly used by electrical contractors in the preplanning phase to ensure that projects stay within scope and on schedule.

The Contract and the Project Manager

As an electrical project manager, you must know and understand what the contract says and be able to use the contract as a tool. This course will identify common contract language and terms that you will encounter as a project manager, as well as emphasize areas to watch out for. We will also discuss the importance of having a thorough understanding of your project contracts.

Courses are available to NECA members for $10 each.
