Three Members of Congress are slated to speak to NECA Member Contractors at this year's National Legislative Conference
, May 16-17 in Washington.
Well known to our industry and partners in labor, Rep. Donald Norcross (D-NJ), a former electrician himself and the champion of multiple NECA legislative efforts, looks forward to the opportunity to discuss our apprenticeship and pensions.
Our second speaker is Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL), a freshman member of Congress who has already positioned herself as someone willing to work in a bipartisan manner to tackle tough issues. Much like Mr. Norcross, she stands as a champion for NECA’s legislative efforts and continues to work for the betterment of our industry.
Finally, we will have Rep. John Faso (R-NY) speak on infrastructure investment as a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure committee.
This year’s conference has the potential to be our most productive one to date. In addition to our dynamic Congressional speakers, we will also hold a special policy briefing by the NECA Government Affairs team, and a political keynote address by none other than Charlie Cook, the Editor and Publisher of the Cook Political Report. NECA contractors will have the chance to “storm” Capitol Hill in what is sure to be our biggest fly-in event ever.
