Paul has over 30 years of experience in the cable industry, developing and managing high-performance premise cables and electronic components systems. He actively participates in the standardization working groups of IEEE, TIA, and the NEC. He chaired the TIA TR-42.7 Telecommunications Copper Cabling Systems subcommittee during category 6a specifications development. Additionally, Paul’s experience includes technology assessment, lab and project management as well as product engineering. He is co-author of six patents related to the design of copper and optical cabling. As a Senior Staff Engineer, Paul works with the Ethernet Alliance to develop and maintain UL's Power over Ethernet Certification capabilities and is the co-chair responsible for the development of the Connectivity Assessment Criteria for the SPIRETM qualification program for smart buildings.
