Types of Members: Permanent & Temporary

Permanent Members

Permanent Members have a permanent office within the jurisdiction of your Chapter and chose to join your Chapter. The Member firm will designate an Accredited Representative that will be your primary contact regarding matters of membership. The Accredited Representative may attend Chapter meetings and may hold office within your Chapter.

Temporary Members

Temporary Members are NECA Members who travel from another Chapter’s jurisdiction (where they have a permanent office and are permanent members) to your chapter for the purpose of obtaining a job. Temporary members are generally assumed to be traveling from another chapter’s jurisdiction into your chapter on a temporary basis. Permanent members of your chapter may become temporary members of another chapter when they travel outside your chapter’s jurisdiction for work. An Accredited Representative of a Temporary Member may not hold NECA membership in your chapter or vote on chapter matters.
