Labor-Management Cooperative Committee

Committees-450x524The Rhode Island Labor-Management Cooperative Committee and the Southeast Massachusetts Labor-Management Cooperative Committee are panels comprised of members of each respective IBEW Local and members of the Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association.  The sole purpose of these committees are to promote sustainable, harmonious relations between management and labor in the complex world of electrical construction.  With this commitment, the committee actively works towards our common goals of advancing our trade in the areas of:  customer satisfaction, safety, craftsmanship, renewable energy, healthy working partnerships and community service.

 

Pension and Annuity

This committee oversees the fund professionals administering the retirement accounts benefiting members of the locals.

Health and Welfare

This committee oversees the fund professionals running the operation of the health and welfare insurance for members and their families.

Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee

Along with the training staff, the JATC Committees oversees the day-to-day operations of our higher education facilities. Apprentice selections, testing, interviews and review of instructors and curriculum are a few of the tasks this committee undertakes to ensure the overall success of students who will become the future workforce of our industry.

With equal parts management and labor these committees negotiate the terms of collective bargaining agreements in the jurisdictions.
