NECA invites member companies to participate in the annual Recognition of Safety Achievement Program. Awards will be presented to top performing organizations in each district based on company size and to all organizations with zero injuries and illness within the reporting year.
2019 recognitions are based on objective criteria available from your OSHA 300 report and worker’s compensation insurance provider for the 2018 calendar year. Additional data collected on the application is used for informational and benchmarking purposes. However, all requested data must be provided in order to complete the application.
An online application is used to collect the data used in the evaluation process. Applications must be submitted using the online form. It is the responsibility of each participating organization to ensure that all data is correctly submitted by the deadline. Organizations whose data is not correctly submitted by the established deadline will not be eligible for an award.
This year, the application process opened on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 and the deadline for submission is Friday, March 1, 2019.

NECA Recognition of Safety Achievement in Safety Excellence
The specific metrics used for selection of the 2019 Recognition of Safety Achievement in Safety Excellence include Recordable Incident Rate, DART Rate, Lost Work Day Case Rate, OSHA Severity Rate, and Experience Modification Rate. Each participating member organization is scored and ranked. Awards are issued to member organizations that have demonstrated by superior performance, their commitment to safety which exceeds the national averages in their Districts and Work Hours category.
NECA Recognition of Safety Achievement for ZERO INJURY
Members that do not have any recordable OSHA cases within the reporting year will be eligible for the Recognition of Zero Injury.
