In New York, the Staten Island community welcomed an addition to the Staten Island Mall in November, a 20,114-square-foot Barnes & Noble, thanks in part to the work of Arcadia Electrical Company.
Some of the store’s features that Arcadia Electrical helped construct were the self-serve kiosks, which allow customers to research and locate books throughout the store, and the installation of community worktables, that include easily accessible USB/AC outlets. The project also included the installation of illuminated bookcases, which are part of two large book theaters aimed at enhancing the curiosity of customers and invited them to discover new books.
Arcadia Electrical, a member of NECA’s New York City Chapter based in Ridgewood, N.Y., was responsible for performing the electrical work for the new store and the built-in Starbucks. The store is part of the ongoing Staten Island Expansion Project that the firm has been actively involved in.
