Latest ElectricTV Features Presidential Perspectives from the NECA + IBEW Powering America Team

Aug 31, 2018

Reducing crew rates, recruiting new members, providing promotional tools to apprenticeship schools, and implementing curriculum in high schools are just a few of the issues in front of the Powering America team of NECA and IBEW electrical professionals in today’s construction industry.

They’ve expanded the creation of new worker classifications to allow more men and women to join and immediately begin working.

The power of social media is being leveraged to announce NECA + IBEW job fairs and stories of veterans finding a home in the organized electrical industry (featured online in the new Band of Brotherhood series).

The ELECTRICAL TRAINING Alliance, self-funded training arm of NECA and the IBEW, have been given new promotional tools for their apprenticeship schools across the country.

The Powering America team is aware of the challenges ahead, and its calling card - the Code of Excellence program. This program maximizes investments in electrical construction by having members make a formal pledge to their contractor and the customer to deliver the utmost in professionalism and productivity. It deals with things like personal responsibility, giving eight hours of work for eight hours pay, keeping breaks to their allotted times, avoiding distractions from cell phones, and more.

It all boils down to this: No matter the size, the complexity, or the location, the NECA/IBEW Powering America Team wants to be your choice for your next construction project.
