Darrell Gossett, a respected member of the electrical construction community and leader in National Electrical Contractors Association activities, has died.
Gossett had served as Indianapolis-based ERMCO’s Chairman and was an integral part of the company’s growth and success.
According to his bio on ERMCO’s website, Gossett began working at ERMCO in 1970 and served in virtually every department during his career. He was named President in 1998 and became Chairman and CEO in 2015.
Gossett was very involved with NECA. He was the 2011-2012 ELECTRI Council Chairman, and was currently serving ELECTRI as Chairman of the Development and Enhancement Committee. He also represented NECA as a member of the Council on Industrial Relations. He received ELECTRI International’s Wendt Award in 2012. Gossett was also a longtime supporter of the Political Leadership Council. He was inducted into the Academy of Electrical Contracting in 2013.
“He had the incredible ability to make everyone feel welcome and part of the team, and he was a beloved family member,” his brother Greg, ERMCO’s current President and CEO, said. “Words cannot express how much he will be missed.”
