2020 Women in NECA & Future Leaders (WINFL) Leadership Conference (Postponed)

Unfortunately, due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, NECA has made the difficult decision to postpone the Women in NECA and Future Leaders meeting. NECA recognizes the important role that many attendees and speakers play in managing this outbreak. Additional information has been shared with all registered attendees and speakers.

Additional information regarding travel, refunds, and other issues related to the meeting will be sent via email to all registered attendees.

The health and well-being of all participants is a top priority for NECA.

One Conference – One Fee – 3 Full Days

WIN+FL_outThe Women in NECA and Future Leaders (WINFL) Leadership Conference will be held March 17-19, 2020 at The Grand Hyatt Tampa in Tampa, Fla.

Register for one single event! The newly combined conference features three full days of education and breakout sessions including featured speakers, group discussions and networking opportunities for both groups, plus a company tour of NECA member MJM Electric facilities. View the agenda
Please note the change in the pattern; attendees should plan to arrive Monday, March 16 and depart the morning of Friday, March 21, as the conference starts Tuesday morning and ends Thursday evening.


WINFL Leadership Conference registration fee is $895 and covers the cost of the following events:

  • Breakfasts
  • Coffee breaks 
  • Lunches
  • Receptions (heavy hors d’oeuvres and food stations) and group dinner

You may register a spouse or guest for $195. This fee category only covers the evening receptions; lunch and breaks are not included in this fee. 

Booking Your Hotel:

At the end of the registration process, you can link directly to the hotel’s website to reserve your hotel room at the Grand Hyatt Tampa. Rooms are $245 per night plus taxes & fees, based on availability. The last day to book housing is February 17.

Cancellations: Full refunds are available prior to Feb 14, 2020. Refunds less an administrative fee of $100 will be given for cancellations received in writing to taylor@necanet.org prior to March 11, 2020.  Following this date, no refunds will be given. However, you may send an alternate to the event without additional charge.

He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. He also received a Master’s degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University, where he was the Salutatorian of his class. Alex was a walk-on player for the Florida Gators and member of the 1996 National Championship football team. He later received a full scholarship and was elected team captain in 2000. He also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers under Coach Tony Dungy.

Alex has excelled in Financial Services, Pharmaceutical Sales and Business Development. At Northwestern Mutual, Alex ranked 3rd in sales production for the Southern Region. He ranked 5th in the nation for Eli Lilly in marketing total portfolio sales. About Maureen O'Brien:

Following the birth of her first son, O’Brien launched an exterior remodeling company of her own called O’Brien & Son, Inc. Four children later, that business is in its 32nd year. 

Intrigued by the story of this engaging woman and her choice to play with the "big boys,” speaking requests came for O’Brien to share her story. Armed with a degree in education and the equivalent of a PhD in hard knocks, O’Brien is a highly sought-after business speaker, thought leader, and author, considered an expert in Transformational Leadership, Entrepreneurial Thinking, Relationship Selling, and Inclusion.
