The National Electrical Contractors Association is teaming up with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the electrical training ALLIANCE on a presentation and guide to the significant changes in the 2018 edition of NFPA 70E, Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
A webinar on NECA’s new guide, NECA’s Guide to the Significant Changes to the NFPA 70E 2018 has been scheduled for Monday, May 14 at 1pm EDT.
The primary speaker will be James Dollard, who is the safety coordinator for IBEW 98. He is a master OSHA 500 Instructor and works closely with the NECA’s Penn-Del-Jersey Chapter on safe working conditions on all jobs.
Dollard is the author of the NJATC Codeology textbook, the 2008 NJATC NEC Significant Changes and Co-author of the 2011 NJATC NEC Significant Changes. Jim is the primary contributing editor for the NECA Guide to the Significant Changes to the NFPA 70E® 2018.
“Jim’s excellent presentation skills, knowledge of the electrical industry, extensive background in the electrical construction field, involvement in electrical safety and codes/standards allow him to make the most complex requirements easy to understand and apply,” said Wes Wheeler, NECA’s Director of Safety.
Wheeler, Mike Johnston, NECA’s Executive Director of Standards and Safety, and Palmer Hickman, Director of Safety and Code at the electrical training ALLIANCE, will also take part in the webinar.
“Keeping up with the latest rules and guidelines for electrical work is critical for members of our industry,” Johnston said. “By attending this webinar, participants will be able to gain knowledge of the terms and updated requirements in this latest revised edition.”
