In this course, participants will learn how to properly apply labor unit data to a specific material installation, emphasizing how labor units can be used to competitively bid electrical construction projects. Key topics covered include: labor factoring for job conditions, basics of material takeoff/expanded material takeoff, labor units applied to material takeoffs, bid documents and organizing an estimate for control.
Target audience: Individuals with little or no experience in estimating or seasoned estimators looking to hone their skills.
Prerequisite: An understanding of electrical construction and the application of electrical material and completion of NECA’s Introduction to the Manual of Labor Units online course (included with registration.)
