Advanced Construction Law - Wisconsin Chapter | May 9, 2019


  • Location: Radisson Hotel & Conference Center Green Bay, 2040 Airport Drive, Green Bay, WI

Participants will look step-by-step at the life of a construction project, addressing the legal rights and responsibilities of project team members while discussing basic legal principles of contract formation and the legal aspects of subcontract negotiation and project performance. Key topics include negotiating favorable subcontract terms, documenting and proving claims, calculating damages, insurance and warranty issues and bonds and liens.

Following this course, participants will be able to:

• Describe legal principles of contracts, subcontracts, and projects
• Give examples of contract management responsibilities, rights and risks
• Analyze a situation involving professional, legal and ethical issues to determine an appropriate course of action
