What construction technology is right for you? As technology companies continuously flood the construction industry with offerings, it has become a major challenge for construction companies to answer that question.
To help our members solve this challenge, the NECA Innovation team will be hosting a weekly webinar series highlighting fully-vetted construction technologies. Each session will be a sales-free educational overview of key functionalities and expert analysis on how a technology can be used in your business. Our goal is to provide you with the information you need to help answer the question, "Is this the right technology for my business?"
In this webinar, we will focus on how the new X7 Laser Scanner from Trimble has transformed the building construction workflow. We will take a deeper dive into some of the new breakthrough technologies such as Automatic Calibration and Self-leveling that Trimble has implemented into the X7 to remove time-consuming tasks associated with 3D Laser Scanning. This session will also focus on field productivity with the industry's most comprehensive automatic registration with the ability to link your registered scans to a project coordinate system in the field for As-Built Verification and Prefabrication of Skids.
Presenting this webinar will be David Hyland, Sales Engineer at Trimble.
David graduated from Technological University Dublin in 2012 with a BSc Honours degree in Geomatics. With multiple years of experience in Engineering, David has a very knowledgeable background in the Building Construction lifecycle phase, from Design and Engineering to Fabricate and Construct. David is currently based in Denver Colorado with the Trimble Buildings group as a Sales Engineer, with a primary focus on Trimble's Scanning portfolio and Mixed Reality. Previously David was a Product Manager with Trimble's Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) division. During this role, he provided industry knowledge to the MEP Field Layout Solutions as well as managing the scanning portfolio.
