The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
An Annual Meeting is held in May or June each year where Fellows and their spouses/guests gather to attend programs and networking activities.
Academy Chairman David Hardt invites you to visit the city of Coeur d'Alene, located in beautiful northern Idaho, for the 52nd Annual Meeting of the Academy of Electrical Contracting.

The Spouse/Guest program will feature the Casco Bay Garden
Tour which includes a boat cruise across Lake Coeur d’Alene for transportation. The Hagadone gardens are in a beautiful setting on Casco Bay, with a breathtaking view of the lake. Known as the largest, privately-owned gardens in the Pacific
Northwest, more than 300,000 plants, flowers habitat there. 12 acres of plush lawns, impeccable landscaping, enchanting water features and diverse flora are housed in the Hagadone gardens. A light breakfast will be served during the boat cruise on
the Mish-an-Nock (an Indian word meaning “Morning Star”) on the way to the gardens.

archive that depicts the history of Fort Sherman and the Coeur d'Alene Lake. You will witness the areas early homes and landmarks, including Fort Sherman Chapel built in 1880.

Crystal Gold Mine Tour – 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Discovered by Tom Irwin in 1879 and then abandoned for almost 110 years, this gold mine is a site to see. Original gold mining equipment left by Tom himself
shows the way gold was mined over a century ago. View the beautiful smithsonite crystals that have formed on the walls. Gold and wire silver, still attached to the quartz vein, are marked out for everyone to see and enjoy.

Idaho Firearms Experience – 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Established in 1989 in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service and the Idaho Dept. of Fish and Game, Fernan Rod & Gun Club is a family-orientated member-owned range,
encouraging family participation in matches and activities. Shoot at a variety of targets with a variety of guns, from pistols to rifles to shotguns.

The Coeur d'Alene Resort is located 40 minutes east of the Spokane International Airport, offering nonstop or one-stop access from most major US and Canadian cities. The Coeur d’Alene Air Terminal is available for corporate and private aircraft.
The Coeur d’Alene does provide airport transportation via a shuttle service. It is $50 one way or $79 round trip per person. Please give them 48 hours’ notice in order to book the shuttle. The Coeur d'Alene Resort is easy to reach by automobile via Interstate 90 (Exit 11) or Highway 95 (Northwest Blvd). From the exit, follow the directions to downtown and watch for the Resort on your right.
