This Member Monday, we’re proud to feature Michels Corporation for their outstanding work on the Carlson Creek Switchyard project!

As the lead contractor, Michels Power constructed a new 345kV switchyard and gen-tie span, managing everything from civil construction and foundation work to the installation of major equipment. They also handled material procurement and project management support.

The Carlson Creek Switchyard plays a critical role in the region’s electrical infrastructure by supporting power transmission, distribution, and control. It also facilitates renewable energy integration, contributing to grid reliability and stability.

Michels Power’s commitment to excellence is reflected in the project’s design, which combines functional efficiency with a seamless aesthetic. Greenery and carefully designed structures make the switchyard both functional and visually appealing.
