Register Today for the 2017 NECA Labor Relations Conference

The 2017 NECA Labor Relations Conference will be held June 19 – 21 at the Minneapolis Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis, MN.

Plan your travel:

The conference begins Monday afternoon at 2:00 pm with a "pre-conference" review of labor relations basics for those new to the industry or just wanting a review. All attendees are welcome at this session.There will be a two-hour opening reception at the hotel in the evening.Minneapolis is a fairly easy city to fly to, so most will be able to fly inMonday morning and still make the 2:00 pm session.

Tuesday will start with a breakfast from 7:00 – 8:00 A.M. followed by a general session until noon. Some of the featured speakers include:

  • NECA President David Hardt and CEO John Grau
  • NECA Vice President of Labor Relations Geary Higgins and NECA General Counsel Gary Lieber
  • IBEW International President Lonnie Stephenson and Assistant to the International President Jerry Westerholm
  • NMAPC Director of Industrial Relations Dan Hogan
  • National Coordinating Committee for Multiemployer Plans Executive Director Michael Scott
  • Attorney Jim Cole of the Groom Law Group

Lunch will be provided, and then breakout sessions on various topics will fill out the afternoon. Topics include:

  • CIR Presentations
  • Negotiations
  • Grievance Handling
  • Legal Limitations on Labor-Management Committees
  • Analysis of CBA Language and Conflicts with Category I Language
  • Chapter Manager Attributes

There will be a light, one-hour reception on Tuesday evening to allow attendees to get out and dine at some of Minneapolis’ many fine and favorite restaurants. There is a lot to do in the twin cities area (http://visit-twincities.com ) and along with fine dining, you can find places where fun is as important as the food - many of the cities’ eateries have been featured on the Food Network’sDiners, Drive-ins, and Dives.

Wednesday again starts with breakfast at 7:00 A.M. and a general session at 8:00 A.M. The conference will end before noon. There will not be a lunch on Wednesday.


Registration Information

The early registration fee for full registrations is $550 per person. Registration for the conference should be completed through the NECA online registration system via theNECA Website. Spouse and guest registration is $300, which includes participation in meals and receptions.

Early rates end April 30, 2017. Starting May 1,2017the registration fee will be $600.00 per person. NOTE: Cancellations after Friday, June 9, 2017 may result in a loss of partial or all of the registration fees. Attire:
The recommended attire for the reception and conference is business casual.

The 2017 NECA LRC will take place at Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis, Minnesota. NECA has secured a room rate of $209.00 plus tax (13.4%).You can reserve your room one of three ways:

Late check-outs may be possible depending upon availability. Guest room cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid penalties.
