Management Education Institute

NECA is committed to meeting the management educational and training needs of its member contractors through courses, hands-on workshops, and useful publications.

NECA’s professional development resources have become more diverse and detailed in order to meet the changing needs of electrical contractors and the industry they serve. Over 200 programs in electrical project supervision, estimating, marketing, financial management, and a range of business and job management topics are delivered at the NECA-chapter level, with NECA field staff, industry experts and scholars serving as instructors, at the annual NECA Convention and Trade Show, and through the NECA Store.

Executive Management Institute (EMI) Designed for senior executives of the electrical contracting industry, the Institute serves as a “Capstone” to the MEI management development curriculum. It provides state-of-the-art management concepts and analytical tools that build on senior managers' existing knowledge of electrical contracting business and electrical construction industry to increase the value and effectiveness of electrical contracting firm. The EMI requires a one-week commitment and is held in a comfortable, retreat setting designed to encourage creative thinking and learning.
