BETHESDA, Md. -- The National Electrical Contractors Association has announced the hiring of two talented staffers to its government affairs team, adding experienced hands who are well-versed in matters on Capitol Hill.
Trevor Falk and James Farrell are assuming the title of Manager, Government Affairs. Falk will start January 16. Farrell started his position on January 3.
“NECA has built up its reputation as the trusted voice of the electrical construction industry, and we strive to be the strongest advocate for NECA contractors and the industry as a whole,” said Marco Giamberardino, NECA’s executive director of government affairs. “We are excited to welcome Trevor and James to our growing team.”
Trevor Falk joins NECA after more than a year as a finance associate with Washington, D.C.-based Angerholzer Broz Consulting, where he structured and implemented fundraising campaigns for members of Congress. He also supported multiple Congressional members and their staff throughout an election cycle, researched and communicated campaign platforms and positions, and preformed targeting outreach to members of labor organizations, trade associations and major corporations. Falk previously worked as a research analyst at the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress an intern in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Falk holds a Master’s graduate from George Mason University, with a background in Congressional fundraising, public policy, and project management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the Catholic University of America.
James Farrell joins NECA from Catalyst Group, where he was a fundraiser for the Washington, D.C.-based organization since 2015. In that capacity, he identified and targeted donors in addition to regularly making fundraising calls. He assisted in the development of fundraising strategies for several key members of Congress, scheduling meetings and other business development opportunities and coordinating the logistics for all fundraising events. Farrell previously spent time on Capitol Hill, as a staff assistant and scheduler for Rep. Tim Murphy (R-PA). He also interned for Reps. David Jolly (R-FL) and Mike Doyle (D-PA).
Farrell graduated from the Catholic University of America with a Bachelor of Arts in politics with a minor in art history.
