Wilson Yancey Honored at NECA 2015 San Francisco

Nov 05, 2015

The Coggeshall Award honors a NECA-member contractor who is judged to have made an outstanding contribution to the progress of the electrical industry in the technical and training service field. This year Wilson Yancey, Vice President of Safety, Health and Environment for Quanta Services, Inc., Houston, Texas, is honored for his instrumental work with the Electrical Transmission and Distribution (ETD) Strategic Partnership.

Yancey has represented Quanta Services, Inc. on the ETD Strategic Partnership with OSHA since it was formed in 2004. Yancey continues to serve on the ETD Partnership Steering Committee and has been a lead representative on the partnership Task Team 2 (training development) and Task Team 3 (Best Practices development).

Through his involvement with Task Team 2, Yancey was instrumental as a contributing developer of the two training programs for the Partnership, ETD-10 Hour and the ETD-20 Hour. He assisted the partnership in developing a method of establishing recognized ETD Partnership instructor credentials and contributed to the required revisions of the two partnership training programs so they align with OSHA’s Final Rule 1910.269 and 1926 Subpart V.

Yancey’s work on Task Team 3 was instrumental in the initial development of the Partnership’s first set of best practices.
