Benham to Talk About Technology Solutions in Construction at NECA Now

Mar 08, 2017

BenhamWhen NECA Now 2017 attendees hear from James Benham, CEO of JBKnowledge, later this month in San Antonio, they can expect to learn a host of things that can help them do their job better.

Benham himself says they will walk away with a vision of where technology in the construction industry is headed and what they can start doing to implement current ;solutions into their personal and professional processes.

“They will be blown away with the progress that has already been made with technology in construction and shocked with the progress that is projected to come,” Benham says.

Benham, who serves as CEO of JBKnowledge, is set to lead the first plenary session on NECA Now, an executive leadership conference that will cover a variety of current topics including business development, operations, financing, and personal development. Attendees will have time to establish new relationships and learn from their peers.

Benham says his presenting style is upbeat, engaging and geared toward all professional levels in the industry.

“I like to stay on point with the topics I am discussing, but I will also make attendees think outside the box and challenge them to implement at least one thing that I teach them as soon as they leave,” he adds.

Benham’s work started at a young age. While growing up in Baton Rouge, LA, he began writing code at the age of 11 and by 14 had developed his first application. Three years later, he co-managed an internet services provider, providing dial-up Internet to over 4,000 users. During his final year at Texas A&M in 2001, James established his second company, JBKnowledge, a premier provider of technology solutions for the construction and insurance industries.

JBKnowledge, which has clients across North America, the Caribbean and the Middle East. The company offers professional services such as BIM/VDC consulting, R&D outsourcing, database design and management, strategic consulting and much more. With these resources, it provides tools for electrical contractors to streamline communications, improve data security and the ability to delegate and elevate their performance.

In Benham’s sessions, NECA Now attendees can expect to hear about trends such as virtual and augmented reality on job sites, wearables, the Internet of Things, big data and how all of them impact the construction industry.

“I will review real companies who are researching and implementing the latest technologies and how they are impacting their construction projects and show attendees the technology tools and strategies they can implement today to be ready for the technology of tomorrow,” Benham says.
