National Electrical Contractors Association members now have another convenient way to keep up with the latest news and updates – on their Apple Watch.
Apple Watch users can now get NECA News updates on their watch (requiring a wifi connection). By synching their watch to an iPhone, users have access to full articles published by NECA, and push notifications alert users to immediate happenings in the industry.
Not an Apple Watch user yet? Don't forget to download the NECA News app for your phone or tablet devices to stay up-to-date. If you already have it, you’ll get the most recent changes, which includes a new design with multiple view options and updated category listing and offline viewable bookmark feature.
Android users have something to look forward to as well. An Android version is coming soon.
The app updates constantly so you can check out what's new at NECA every day or every week. Only interested in specific topics? No problem. You can filter the articles and stories by topic.
In January, NECA rolled out an extensive update to the app, providing users with a new look and feel, new functionality and an updated topic list. Features of the app now include bookmarking to read articles at a later date on or offline, “favoriting” topics and article sharing. For existing users, the biggest version change is that topics are no longer color coded.
The National Electrical Contractors Association is the voice of the $130 billion electrical construction industry that brings power, light, and communication technology to buildings and communities across the U.S. NECA’s national office in Bethesda, Md., four regional offices, and 119 local chapters across the country support the electrical contracting industry through advocacy, education, research, and standards development.
